Man, 42, Batters Lagos Pastor, Accuses Him Of Being Fake Cleric

A Lagos-based cleric, Pastor Frank Osagie Eromosele, will not forget in hurry an ugly encounter he had with a 42-year old man,  Adeyinka Shodeinde, who allegedly attacked and beat him mercilessly after accusing to be fake Pastor.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Lamide Street, Adura area of Ijaiye in Ojokoro in Lagos State, where they reside.
The Police did not disclose what transpired between Pastor Eromosele and Shodeinde, which led to the attack. It was not certain what got the cleric to have suffered serious injury or if he was a member of the church before the attack.
Apart from battering Pastor Eromosele, the suspect, Shodeinde was said to have rained curses on him before he carried and threw him on the ground and he sustained serious injury before he was eventually rescued by people who were around and taken to an undisclosed to hospital for treatment.
The matter was reported to the Police at Area G Command, Ogba. The Police then arrested the suspect, Shodeinde and detained at the Command for interrogation over his conduct.
During interrogation, the suspect, Shodeinde, was said to have even abused the complainant before the Police.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty before the Court when he was arraigned.
The prosecutor, Mr. Victor Eruada, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O. Tanimola, granted Shodeinde bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos pending when he will perfect his bail conditions while the matter was adjourned for mention.
