Man, 42, In Police Net Over S*x With Girl, 14

A 42-year old man, Oluwaseyi Ojikutu, has landed in trouble after he allegedly lured a 14-year old girl and engaged her in sex in Lagos State.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that he has been arrested.

The incident happened at Inaye Road, Epe area of Lagos State, where they reside.

The Police alleged the suspect to have lured the girl, confused her with words of mouth and engaged her in sex.

However, the act was exposed after the girl realized herself, told her parents what happened and her parents reported to the Police in the area.

The suspect was arrested and later transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command for interrogation over the act. He reportedly admitted to have slept with her but with her consent.

However, the Police found him culpable having admitted he slept with the girl with her consent despite the fact the girl is  still a minor.

He was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.

When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Victor Eruada, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in Correctional Centre pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned till 14th January, 2022, for the report of the DPP to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
