A 43-year old man, Godwin Joseph, has been arrested in Lagos after he reportedly lured a 17-year old boy into his room and allegedly forcefully penetrated the boy’s anus.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Muyiba Street opposite Military Barrack in Ojo area of Lagos.

It was gathered that the suspect, Joseph, came back from work, invited the victim and sent him on an errand. But unknown to the boy, he had another motive for inviting him to his apartment. He was said to have forced the victim to remove his clothes, rubbed cream on his manhood and allegedly penetrated him through the anus before allowing him to go.

However, the victim was said to have reported what happened to his parents and the matter was then reported to the Police. The suspect, Joseph, was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for investigation.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that at the Gender Section, he admitted committing the offence and claimed to have been tempted to do so.
The Police found him culpable and later charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for sexual assault by inserting his manhood into the boy’s anus.

The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Ezekiel Ayorinde, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered him to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.
The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice. The matter was adjourned till 15th August, 2019.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the matter may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP finds him culpable for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment if he found guilty of penetrating the boy’s anus.
