A 44-year old man, Jude Friday, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly biting a 16-year old girl over his inability to seduce her after touching her breasts and she resisted it.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Friday, has been arrested and charged for assault and sexual harassment.
The incident happened at Ajorin Close off Abusatu, Dopemu area of Lagos, where they reside.
The suspect was alleged to have lured the girl into his apartment, touched her breasts in order to seduce her but the victim resisted and attempted to escape from him.
He then attacked her, rained fist blows on her mouth, bit her on her back and threatened to kill her before she raised alarm and managed to escape. But by then she had sustained injury in the process.
The matter was reported to the Police in the area and the suspect was arrested and transferred to DSVA in Alausa Ikeja, Lagos, for investigation over his alleged conduct.
After interrogation, he was found culpable and consequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
However, he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, granted him bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and addresses verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned till 29th May, 2024, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at correctional center in Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
