Man, 44, Defiles Girl, 6

The police in Ogun State have arrested a 44-year old man, one Rafiu Moruf, for allegedly engaging a six-year-old girl in sex romp and defiling her in the process.

The suspect, Mr. Moruf, was arrested on February 11, 2019, by detectives attached to Ogun State Police Command.
The suspect, who lives behind SS Secondary School Aferiku in Idiroko, was arrested following a complaint by the mother of the victim who reported the dastardly act to the police.

The mother said that she noticed an unusual behaviour from her daughter which prompted her to closely examine the girl’s private part. She was said to have further stated that on close examination, she noticed semen in her private part. The mother questioned the little girl and she revealed how Moruf took her into his room and had carnal knowledge of her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that this was disclosed by the Ogun State Police spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the arrest. Oyeyemi said upon the report, the DPO Idiroko, CSP Amodu Aloko, led detectives to the suspect’s house where he was arrested.

He said on interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime. “The victim has been taken to hospital for medical treatment and report,” he added.

He also said that the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for proper investigation.
