A 45-year old man, Oluwasegun Akintayo, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly luring a 6-year old girl into his apartment and inducing her with heavy alcoholic drink, she became unconscious and was subsequently defiled by penetration.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Iju Road, Ishaga area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to Police sources, the suspect, Akintayo, returned from work and lured the girl into his apartment having bought a bottle of Stallion Dry Gin and forced her to drink it. She became drunk before he removed her pants, used his finger on her private part and then penetrated her.
However, after the dastardly act, the girl was still drunk and also injured in her private before she exposed the matter.
She was taken to the hospital for treatment while the matter was reported to the Police at Isokoko Division and the suspect was arrested and detained for interrogation over the conduct.
During the interrogation, he reportedly admitted to have given her the alcoholic drink as well tempering with her private part with his finger without any penetration with his dick in the process.
The Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment or life imprisonment if he is found guilty.
When he was arraigned, the Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered his remand in custody at the Correctional Centre, Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP advice while directing the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 19th October, 2022, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction
