It was double tragedy for an 8-year old girl, who was allegedly used as sex slave for over five years, got impregnated and forced to undergo induced abortions three times in order to cover the dastardly act by the captor in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Oshifila Street, Anifowoshe area of Ikeja, Lagos, where they reside.

The captor, a 46-year old Afolabi Pedro, has been arrested.

The suspect, Afolabi Pedro, reportedly intimidated the victim by instilling fear into her that he will kill her if she tells anybody that he was sexually molesting her.

During the period, which lasted for over five years, Pedro reportedly impregnated her, aborted it three times before the matter got exposed due to complications on the victim over the alleged abortions.

The matter got exposed and he was arrested by the Police at Ikeja Division for investigation over the act.

During interrogation, the victim revealed that the molestation started when she was 8 years when he started by inserting his fingers into her private part to open it up for penetration.

Thereafter, he allegedly started sleeping with her repeatedly and impregnated her in the process. He was said to have then bought hard drugs to induce abortion to get rid of pregnancy.

Afolabi has been charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement, threat to life and procurement of abortions three times.

The Court did not take his plea following a motion by the Prosecutor, Supol Bisi Ogunleye, that the matter be referred to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubeinje, ordered his remand in correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.

The defendant, Afolabi, may likely spend several years in custody if he is tried and found guilty before the Court for the alleged offence.
