Man, 49, Arraigned For Inserting Finger Inside Private Part Of Neighbour’s Girl, 4

A 49-year old man, Adeshina Olawale, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly luring and inserting his finger into the private part of his neighbour’s 4-year old girl.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 6th April, 2025, at Ijegun Road, Old Garage in Ikotun area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect was alleged to have lured the victim into his apartment, removed her pants and inserted his finger into her private part repeatedly.
Having satisfied himself, he allowed her to go. But the dastardly act got exposed to the victim’s parents who went to the Family Suport Unit at Ikotun Division and reported the matter. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over the alleged offence.
The Police found him culpable after thorough interrogation and charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.
The charge read:
“That you, Adeshina Oluwafemi ‘m’ of No. 44. Ijegun Road, Old Ikotun, Lagos State at about 2300hm, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did sexually assault One Daniel Victory ‘f’ by penetrating her vagina with your finger and committed and offence contrary to and punishable under Section 261, of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.”
The Court did not take his plea following a motion moved by the prosecutor,  Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to give a date and refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.O.Tanimola, ordered his remand in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for legal advice.
The matter was adjourned for mention for the report of the DPP’s advice to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
