Man, 49, Caught Having Sex With Girl, 6, Inside Room

Police operatives from Isokoko Division in Lagos have arrested a 49-old man, Alabi Raji, after he was caught engaging his neighbour’s 6-year old girl in sex.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Adetona Street, Iloro area of Ikeja, Lagos, where they reside.

The Police alleged that the suspect, Raji, reportedly lured the girl into his house, removed her pant and penetrated her private part in the process in order to satisfy his sexual desire.
However, he was caught by neighbours, who suspected his movement with the little girl and informed her parents.
It was gathered that when a medical test was conducted on the victim, it was discovered that her private part was ruptured and she mentioned Raji as being behind the dastardly act.

He arrested and after interrogation, the Police found him culpable. Raji was later charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court. But the Court did not take his plea or grant him bail following a motion by the prosecutor, Supol Clifford Ogu, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

Hence, the Presiding Magistrate, J.A. Adegun, ordered the remand of the defendant in prison custody and also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 16th January, 2020.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the case may be transferred to the High Court if the DPP’s report finds him culpable and recommends that he should be tried for the alleged offence.
