A 49-year old man, Ayodele Ojoada, has landed in trouble in Lagos State for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s 15-year old girl after sucking her breasts, getting her confused confused and unable to resist the temptation.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Church Street, Ijora Badia area of Lagos, where they reside.
According to the Police, the suspect, Ayodele, lured the victim to his apartment, fondled and sucked her breasts, which got her confused before he removed her pants and penetrated her before he allowed her to go.
However, the victim later regained her senses and reported what happened to her parents, who in turn reported to the Police in the area.
The suspect, Ayodele, was arrested and then transferred to the Gender Section of the Lagos State Command for investigation.
When he was interrogated, he admitted to have slept with the victim but with her consent as she did not resist his moves contrary to the claim of the victim, who revealed how he manipulated her by sucking her breasts.
The Police found him culpable because the victim is still a minor and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, Inspector Lucky Ihiehie, asking the Court to give a date and refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka, ordered the defendant to be remanded in custody pending the outcome of the DPP’s advice and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.
The matter was adjourned till 19th October, 2023, for the report of the DPP’s advice to be ready, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
