Man, 50, Arrested For Sexually Molesting Girl, 3

Police operatives from the Family Support Unit in Lagos have arrested a 50-year old man, Isaac Ubogu, who allegedly defiled a 3-year old girl by penetrating her private part in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at 31 Awoniyi Elemuo Street, Ajao Estate, Lagos, where he reside with the victim’s parents.

It was gathered that the suspect, Ubogu, lured the victim into his apartment, removed her pant and defiled her. When the victim’s parents discovered, they asked their daughter who was responsible and she mentioned Mr. Ubogu.
The matter was reported to the Police at Ajao Estate Division; Ubogu was then arrested and detained at the Police Station for investigation.
After interrogation, the Police claimed that the suspect confessed and admitted molesting the victim and found him culpable for defilement.

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana, who confirmed that Ubogu was in Police net over the dastardly act. He said that on 30th August, 2019, at about 1000hrs, Ajao Estate Police Station received a complaint that one Isaac Ubogu, 50, of No. 31 Awoniyi Elemo Street, Ajao Estate, defiled a 3year old girl. The suspect was arrested by detectives from the Family Support Unit and he confessed to the commission of the crime.
DSP Elkana explained that the survivor was taken to the hospital for medical examination but did not state if the result of the test confirmed the alleged abuse.
However, Elkana said that the suspect will be charged to Court confirming that the Police have strong evidence against him.
