Man, 73, Arrested For Engaging Girl, 17, In Sex Romp

A 73-year old man, Mufutau Surakatu, has been arrested in Lagos after allegedly lured and engaged his neighbour’s 17-year old girl in a sex romp.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at 16, Silver Street, Mushin, Lagos, where they resided.

It was gathered that the old man invited the victim, used words of mouth to confuse the girl before he removed her pant and penetrated her.
However, the after the act the victim regained herself, cried and informed her parents about what happened.

The matter was reported to the police at Area D Command, Mushin, Lagos and the old man was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section at State Command.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the old man admitted that he did so but did not force her as alleged by the police. But the victim claimed that she did not consent to the act because the defendant had confused her before forcing her into the romp.

The police found the old man culpable and charged him before Ogba Magistrates court, Lagos, for defilement.
The prosecutor, Inspector Christopher Donny, asked the court to use its discretion on the matter because the defiled victim was a teenager.
His plea was not taken.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, ordered him to be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the matter till 27th August, 2018.
