Man Arrested For Touching Wife’s Breast In Public

A 45-year old man, Sulaimon Shakirudeen, has landed in trouble in Lagos after he reportedly went to his wife’s shop after a quarrel and touched her breasts in public in order to lure her back. He was arrested for public assault on his wife, Mrs. Adebimpe Sulaimon.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Isolo Road by Palm Avenue Road, Mushin area of Lagos, where the wife, Adebimpe owns a shop.

According to Police sources,  Sulaimon went to Adebimpe’s shop and disallowed her from carrying out her lawful business. He reportedly pushed and dragged her when he discovered that she was not cooperating with him. He then touched her breasts in order to get her attention and when that failed, he threatened her.

But the conduct did not go down well with Adebimpe, who contacted the Police at Ilupeju Division. She told the Police that Sulaiman was threatening her life and assaulting him in public by touching her breasts.

The Police arrested Sulaimon and after interrogation found him culpable. He was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence and he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr Ajayi Emmanuel, asked the Court to adjourned the matter for a date for trial to enable the Police to prove with evidence that he actually committed the alleged offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A. B. Adelabu, granted him bail with conditions.He was later remanded in Correctional Centre pending when he will perfect his bail conditions. 
The matter was adjourned till 2nd March, 2021, for mention.
