The Area Commander, Area M Idimu Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Austines Akika has ordered the arrest of a 47-year old man, Lewis Emmanuel Victor who allegedly sucked his 6-year old daughter’s private part and thereafter raped her.
The incident happened at Abeokuta Street, Okunola in Egbeda area of Lagos where they reside.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the victim had been subjected to sexual torture whenever her mother went for night vigils and left her in the care of the father.
It was scooped that the mother of the victim was always busy with church activities and often slept in the church without knowing what her husband was doing to the victim.
According to the victim, her dad used to remove her pant whenever her mom was not around and sucked her private until she got wet. When she got wet he used to penetrate her and then used cloth to clean her up.
The alleged assault had been going on until the mother observed that the victim was not moving properly and on closer look she also observed that her private had been tempered with.
It was then that the mother realised damage that has been done to the victim but was more shocked by the revelation by the victim. The victim told her mother that it was her father that did so whenever she went for vigils.
The matter was reported to the police and the suspect was arrested and detained at the police station where he reportedly confessed and blamed it on devil.
When P.M.EXPRESS visited the Area M Command, the Area Commander was not around to confirm the incident. But the suspect was seen detained at the cell waiting for further action by the police.
The police source told our reporter that the suspect will be charged to court as directed by the Area Commander, Akika.
The suspect was brought to court to be arraigned before Ejigbo Magistrates court for the alleged defilement but the court could not entertain the matter because the victim was a minor.
The court officials directed the police to take the suspect before Ogba family court for prosecution.
