Man Attacks Female Lotto Agent After Losing N3m Bet

A 29-year old Oluwasegun Ijikoyojo has been arrested for allegedly attacked a female lottery agent, Damilola Lasisi after he reportedly lost over N3 million bet he won but eventually lost due to his carelessness.

The incident happened at the NairaBet Lottery office located at Mogaji Street in  Ijeshatedo area of Surulere, Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered the suspect staked below N5,000 on NairaBet lottery but refused to pay the amount he staked.
Lasisi was said to have requested the money from Ijikoyojo severally to pay to the company account before the deadline and he refused and insisted that he had no money to pay.
Lasisi then deleted his name among those who staked in the lottery betting and forward the list to the company.
It was gathered that the number Ijikoyojo staked eventually won which would have fetched him over N3 million but the company could not pay him because his name was not on the list.
He became angry and attacked Lasisi by raining several blows on her and injured her.
She was taken to a hospital where she was treated for the injury she sustained.
The matter was reported to the police in the area and Ijikoyoje was arrested and charged to court with assault under the Criminal Code.
At the Isolo Magistrate court where  Ijikoyojo was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.K. Shonubi granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
Ijikoyoje was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail.
The matter was adjourned till 5 October 2016.
