Man Batters Wife During Squabble Over Sex

 A 46-year old man, Mr. Ndubuisi Nwankwo, has landed in trouble after he battered his wife, Tricia, during a squabble over sex in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that Ndubuisi has been arrested.
The incident happened at Bay Faseun Street, AIT area in Alagbado, Lagos, where they resided.

Police source said the couple had been in constant quarrels which had attracted the attention of the neighbours before this incident.
It was gathered that the couple had a disagreement after the wife resisted several advances for sex which made her husband to grab her and inflict injury on her lips and other parts of her body.

The matter was reported to the police; Nwankwo was arrested and detained at the police station.
It was gathered that the police tried to make peace between the couple to no avail as the wife insisted on getting justice by taken her husband to court.

He was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for assault.
He pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Mr. Donny Raphael, informed the court that the defendant was the husband to the complainant and asked the court to use its discretion to grant him bail.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, granted Nwankwo bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 9th September, 2018.
