It appears some men are gradually turning cannibals in Lagos as they have now resorted to given women human bites to free themselves when engage in fights. Just about a week after, a man was arrested and charged before a court for biting off his wife’s ear, another one now faces trial at the same Apapa Magistrate’s court for allegedly bitten off a lady ‘s ear.
The latest suspect, Endurance Ezikiah was arrested after he attacked and grabbed Ngozi Ukwuoma’s ear and bite off part of her ear during a fight between them.
The incident happened at 6 Avenue, Festac Town, where both the victim and suspect reside.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Ezikaih and Ukwuoma had disagreement over undisclosed matter which result in exchange of words and later to fight between them.
Ezikiah, who first attacked Ukwuoma with the hope that he would had an advantage over her, was surprised when she resisted and gained an upper hand.
In the midst of the embarrassment, Ezikiah reportedly drew her head and bites off part of her ear and neck.
She started bleeding profusely and was taken to a hospital in Festac where she was being treated.
The matter was reported to the police at Festac division and the DPO detailed a female police officer, Felicia Samuel to invite Ezikiah to the station.
When the police went to invite him, he resisted and reportedly carried wood plank and pursued the officer and Ukwuoma who came with police.
The police later mobilized, arrested and charged him to court with assault under the Criminal Code.
He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr M.A. Etti granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail.
The matter was adjourned till 13 February 2017.
