A 31-year old man Eddy Friday has been arrested and charged before Apapa Magistrate’s court for allegedly giving his wife, Jane human bites in her ear, during a fight at their residence in Lagos.
The incident happened at 5 Lawani Street, Olodi Apapa, Lagos where they reside.
Some part of Jane’s left ear was bitten off which caused her severe injury and was rushed to a hospital where she was being treated.
The matter was reported to the Police who arrested Friday and charged him with assault under the Criminal Code.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered the couple had been having constant fighting in the compound over undisclosed disagreement before the incident happened.
Our correspondent also gathered the latest fight between the couple which led to Jane sustaining injury on her ear started in the evening of that day.
The wife was said to be having upper hand before Friday grabbed her ear and bite it and eventually dislodged her.
When Friday was arraigned before the court, he pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mr M.A. Etti granted Friday bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Friday was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
When Friday was being taken to the prison custody, the wife lamented that she was no longer interest in prosecuting her husband and wanted him to be released.
By then it was already too late as the matter had been adjourned to a further date for hearing.
