A 34-year old Idris Daniel has been arrested for allegedly stealing Chivita company’s products worth N6m in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Akinyemi Street, off Fatai Atere Way Mushin Lagos where the products were said to have been delivered to another company known Integrated Motor Industry.
Daniel and others at large were said to have conspired, broken the place, stole the products worth the said amount and escaped. While they were escaping with the products, Daniel was apprehended while his accomplices escaped. He was handed over to the police at Olosun Division, Mushin, Lagos.
The police did not disclose if the products were recovered from him or not. However, Daniel was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Mr. Edet Akadu alleged that the suspect and others now at large conspired on the said date, time and place damaged the property of Integrated Motors Industry company and stole the Chivita’s products worth the amount.
He pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Layinka granted Daniel bail in the sum of N2m with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 16 May, 2018.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the police were making efforts to arrest other suspects that were mentioned by Daniel as his accomplices for prosecution.
