Man Breaks Into Deeper Life Church To Steal Offering Money

A man, Anthony Kamal has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court after he allegedly broke into a Deeper Life Church to steal money realised during offering after the service.

However, his plans failed as he did not find any money in the offering box and was apprehended by the church security.

The incident happened at Olaniji Street in Orelope area of Egbeda, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect monitored the church activity and carried out a hit after he discovered that more donation was made during the service.

He reportedly went there in the evening and broke into the church to steal the money but he met an empty box.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt that while he was leaving the church premises in frustration, the security men apprehended him and handed over to the police at Idimu Division.

At the station, Kamal admitted that he broke into the church but did not find any money and he left.

He was charged before the Magistrates court sitting in Ejigbo for felony under the Criminal Code.

He pleaded not guilty.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sun.

He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

The matter was adjourned till 14th of September, 2017.
