CYRIACUS IZUEKWE
Facts have emerged on how a 47-year old man Emmanuel Kalu was sleeping with his wife and at the same time with their teenage daughter and eventually impregnated her.
The incident happened at Olowolagba Street, Iwaya in Yaba area of Lagos where they resided.
P.M.EXPRESS scooped from police source that Kalu actually admitted that his wife never starved him of sex but he was tempted to sleep with his daughter, claiming that he did not know what came over him.
The victim in a statement to the police confirmed that he started the sexual assault on his daughter when she was 13 years in 2014 by inserting his fingers into her private part. It was gathered that when he had successfully deflowered her, he then started having normal sex with her but warned her not to tell anybody including her mother.
However, his daughter became pregnant and everything was exposed when the victim revealed that it was her father that impregnated her.
The matter was reported to the police and Kalu was immediately arrested and charged before Ikeja Magistrates court for the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N700,000 with two sureties in like sum.
However, the court directed the prosecutor to duplicate his file and send to Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP for advice.
The suspect was ordered to be remanded in prison custody pending the outcome of DPP advice.
The matter was further adjourned till 22 February, 2018.
