A man, Mr. Nelson, has a filed suit before the Igando Customary Court in Lagos seeking for the dissolution of their one-year old marriage over constant demand for sex by his wife without getting pregnant.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that Nelson, who resides at Ijegun area of Lagos, is seeking for the dissolution of the marriage between him and the estranged wife, Ijeoma, because he cannot cope with Ijeoma’s demands, who he alleged to have turned violent because of his inability to satisfy her.
According to Nelson, since he got married to Ijeoma, he had not had peace over her constant demands for sex every two days. Whenever he does not meet up with her demands, she will turn violent; attacking him and destroying properties in their matrimonial home.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the couple, who initially were married separately and had separated from their spouses before they got married.
However, Nelson had two daughters with his former wife before they separated and he met Ijeoma who was married and got separated from her husband before she got married to Nelson.
According to Nelson, for the past one year they have been sleeping together as husband and wife but Ijeoma had not taken in and he was forced not to continue having sex with her.
However, Ijeoma said that when she met Nelson, she clearly gave him conditions which he promised to abide with before they went to meet her family in Enugu State. She said part of the conditions was conjugal obligation.
“I told him that I like sex and he was initially coping and suddenly stopped which was the cause of the problem” she said.
Nelson admitted he needed more children including a male child and that was why he left his wife to get married to her. He said he was disappointed when he saw a chat between Ijeoma and her lover, where she revealed that doctors said he cannot bear a child.
Nelson said obviously that the relationship has collapsed and that was why he filed the suit before the Court to free himself from Ijeoma though they were still living in the same apartment and will be going to Court to a later date to tell the Court why the marriage should be dissolved.
