A 15-year old girl, who was allegedly employed by the management of Romeo and Juliet Bar in Ejigbo in Lagos State, had a nasty experience after a randy customer sexually assaulted her by inserting his finger inside her private part in public.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the randy man, Adewale Owoade, has been arrested for the alleged dastardly act on the victim, who is  still a minor.
The incident happened at the popular bar located at NNPC Junction, Ejigbo area of Lagos, where the victim was alleged to have been employed to offer services to customers.
The alleged assault attracted condemnation against Owoade’s conduct on the victim but those who knew what happened wondered what an under aged girl was doing in the hotel as at the time the incident happened.
Police alleged that the suspect went to the place to drink and after gulping some bottles, he lured the girl to where he was sitting and inserted his finger into her private part.
The victim was said to have raised alarm, which attracted the attention of the security guard, who then apprehended Owoade and handed him over to the Police in the area for prosecution.
The Police at Ejigbo Division then transferred the matter to the Gender Section of the Police Command for interrogation over the conduct.
After thorough interrogation and having been found culpable, the Police subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the Police prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, ordered his remand in the Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready while directing the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 26th October, 2022, for the report of the DPP to be available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.
