P.M.EXPRESS reports that the officers got him arrested and later charged him before the Court for obstruction of duty. The incident happened at Tolly Street in Ojota area of Lagos where the officers were on duty. It was not certain the kind of duty they were performing which made Annankwu who resides at 14 Elaroro Street, Ikate area of Surulere, Lagos, to decide to use his mobile phone to record their activity there. It was gathered that the officers attached to Patrol 67 in Ogudu Police Station led by one Inspector Eche Adeyi, were on routine duty before Annankwu saw them, recorded them and was eventually caught. He was charged before the Ogba Magistrates Court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace. He pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Inspector Kenrich, did not oppose his bail but asked the court for a date for hearing of the matter for the police to prove the allegation. |
