A man, one Emmanuel Okosa, has landed in trouble after he allegedly engaged a 9-year old girl in a sex romp in in Lagos.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Oloyeole Close, Egbatedo area of Oko-Oba in Agege area of Lagos where they reside.
The suspect reportedly lured the victim into his apartment, penetrated her and in the process deflowered her; she reportedly bled profusely.
After the dastardly act, he allowed her to go but warned her not to tell anyone including her parents about what happened.
However, the bleeding continued and the victim then told her parents what happened. The matter was reported to the police; the suspect was arrested and detained at the police station.
During interrogation, Okosa reportedly admitted that he committed the offence and had no difficulty penetrating her because he was not the first to rape her.
The police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
The plea was not taken after the prosecutor, Inspector Christopher John, asked the court that the matter be referred to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, ordered Okosa to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.
The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The matter was adjourned till 4th March, 2019, for report of the DPP advice to be available.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Okosa may spend several years in prison if he is tried, found guilty and sentenced accordingly.
