Man Fondles Breasts, Tricks Girl, 16, Into Sex

A 36 -year old man, Alex Ogbuagu, has been arrested for fondling and sucking a 16-year old girl’s breasts and tricking her into sex.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Alfred Akim Street, Olowora in Isheri area of Lagos where the suspect resides with the victim’s parents.

It was gathered that Ogbuagu returned early from work and lured the victim into his apartment and confused her with words.
He then allegedly fondled and sucked her breasts and she became more confused before he penetrated her in the romp that lasted for several hours.

The victim later regained herself after the act and reported to her parents that she was raped by Ogbuagu.
The matter was reported to the police in the area and Ogbuagu was arrested and transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that during interrogation, Ogbuagu insisted that he did not rape her claiming that the victim consented to the act. However, the victim denied her consent and claimed that she was forced into the act after he touched her breasts and got her confused.
The police found Ogbuagu culpable because of the age of the victim and charged him before the Court for rape.
The offence is said to be a serious and capital offence which attracts long term imprisonment if Ogbuagu is tried and found guilty.
When he was arraigned, his plea was not taken rather the prosecutor, Inspector Christopher John, asked the Court to give the order for the file to be taken to DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, ordered the defendant to be remanded in prison custody without an option of fine.
The court also directed the prosecutor to send the file to DPP for advice and adjourned the matter till 13th February, 2019, for report of DPP to be available.
