Police operatives in Lagos have arrested a randy man, Babatunde Damilare, who allegedly killed a commercial sex worker in a popular hotel over sex fee.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the popular Edo Inn Hotel located at Surulere area of Lagos, where Babatunde went to engage the sex worker identified as Elochukwu in a romp and fighting ensured between them over price.
During the scuffle, Babatunde reportedly murdered the victim.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana.
He said that on 6th November, 2019, at about 2300hours, Surulere Police Station received an information that one commercial sex worker identified as Elochukwu ‘f’ engaged her customer, Babatunde Damilare ‘m’ in a fight over the price of sex, at Edo Inn Hotel, No. 17 Atan Street, Empire area of Surulere.
During the scuffle, the said Babatunde Damilare picked up a knife and stabbed Elochukwu severally on her neck, which led to her death on the spot.
DSP Elkana said that the suspect was arrested by Homicide detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer Surulere, CSP Adebayo Adeoya.
He said that the corpse of the deceased person was evacuated and deposited at Mainland Hospital morgue, Yaba, for autopsy and investigation is ongoing.
Elkana said that the suspect will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigation.
