A 32-year old man, Falola Abdurafiu, has killed his neighbour after he allegedly caught him eating with his wife at a drinking joint over suspicion that he had been sleeping with her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Abdurafiu, has been arrested by Osun State Police Command for allegedly killing a man on his street in the Owode Ede area of Osun State with scissors after suspecting that the victim was having an affair with his wife.
He has reportedly admitted that he actually killed the neighbour but it was not his intention to do so. He was said to have been married for over six years and had one child before the incident happened.
Abdurafiu, who is a motorcycle operator, is now facing murder charge which attracts life imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
He told the Police that the victim was a cult member in his area, who had been dating his wife and he had reported to one of his superiors in the cult group but he never listened to him. He claimed to have also begged everyone who could speak to him but he never listened.
“In fact, one of his superiors, whom I reported to, told me that he also knew that he was dating my wife and that he had done everything possible to stop him but it was all in vain.”
“Later, I went to inform the Baale (traditional leader) of our area and the Baale said that I should bring my mother. So, I went there with my mother and my wife. When we got there, my wife was asked if she was still interested in me and she said yes, but despite that she didn’t give me peace of mind.”
“She was coming in late and if I asked her where she was coming from, she would say she was coming from the salon and it had been going on like that. Again, I called his friends and they also confirmed my findings to me; I left them feeling very sad.”
“So I went to buy liquor from a woman who sells herbs and when I got there I saw my wife and the guy eating from the same plate. That’s how a fight broke out between us. In the course of the fight, I saw a pair of scissors and used it to stab him in three places. That was how he died.”
“I stabbed him close to the eye, chest and stomach area, but I never wanted to kill him. In fact, before that day, I had begged him to leave my wife alone. I’m not promiscuous and I only love my wife but he never listened” Abdurafiu said.
After stabbing the victim, he was said to have bled profusely and Abdurafiu’s wife ran away. The victim was rushed to the hospital but before then he was already dead and the doctor merely certified him dead while his corpse was deposited at mortuary for autopsy report.
The Police source said that the suspect will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigations on the matter.
