It was gathered that the suspect lured the victim into his house, removed his clothes and forcefully penetrated his anus after rubbing some cream on his joystick.
According to the residents who had all along suspected that Prince slept with teenagers, they reported to the police about the movement of the 16-year old boy into Prince’s house and the police team accosted the boy. They searched him and discovered used condom with sperm inside it stained with blood. The police team then took him to their station and interrogated him. He confessed that Prince lured him to his house and raped him through his anus.
Thus, the suspect was arrested and detained at the police station where he made confessional statements to the police.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect hails from Ohafia, got married to his wife from Arochukwu in Abia State and they had two children before the wife dumped him over his misconduct. It was learnt that since the wife left him, he had depended on teenagers to satisfy his sexual desires which the residents had noticed in the area.
When our correspondent visited the Ejigbo Police Division to speak with the DPO over the matter, the DPO was said to have gone to the State Command for briefing.
However, police sources confirmed the arrest of Prince and told our reporter that the suspect has been transferred to the Gender Section of the State Command for further interrogations while the victim was said to have been taken to the Mirabel Center for treatment and rehabilitation.
It was gathered that Prince may be charged to court for rape because of the age of the victim despite the fact that the victim was a boy. The suspect may spend some years in prison if he is tried and found guilty.
