Man Rapes Neighbour’s 4-Year Old Girl

Police operatives from Olosun Division, Mushin, Lagos, have arrested a 21-year old, Samuel Ebas, who reported defiled his neighbour’s 4-year old girl.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the  incident happened on 21st January, 2021, in Mushin area of Lagos where they reside.

The dastardly act got exposed after the mother of the little girl realised that the child was complaining about feeling pains in her private part when she was bathing her. That raised suspicion and the mother probed her to know who actually tampered with her private part.
She then confessed that it was the suspect, Samuel Ebas, that forcefully penetrated her. 

The case was reported to Olosun Police Division, but unfortunately the perpetrator, Ebas, ran away. 
However, he was trailed, later arrested and detained at the station for interrogation.

After interrogation, the Police found him culpable and subsequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court.
The Court did not take his plea after the Prosecutor, Supol Akeem Raji, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.

Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.I. Adelaja, ordered his remand in Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.

The matter was adjourned till 22nd February, 2021, for the report of DPP to be available.
The defendant risks several years imprisonment if he is tried and found guilty before the Court.
