A 29-year old man Taoheeb Kewulere has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly tempering with the private part of a 10-year old girl (name withheld).
He was arraigned and remanded in prison custody for indecent assault on the victim.
The incident happened at Shodimu Street in Shomolu, Lagos where the suspect and the victim’s parents reside.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the suspect reportedly lured the victim into his apartment, locked his door from inside, forced her to pull her pant and when she refused the suspect pulled it by himself and inserted his fingers into her private part as he could not penetrate her because of the size of his manhood.
It was learnt the victim could not shout or cry for help because she was overwhelmed by the action of the suspect who also threatened her.
However, the act was exposed after he had allowed the victim to go and she informed her mother.
The parents confronted the suspect, he denied doing so but the victim insisted and explained how he did it.
The matter was then reported to the police at the Gender Section at Ikeja, who arrested the suspect and detained him at the station.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered at the police station that the suspect later confessed and explained that he did not penetrate her as such it was not defilement.

He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs B.O. Osunsanmi granted him bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was ordered to be remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition and the matter was adjourned till 7 November, 2017.
