Man Sent To Prison For Stealing Cow Meat To Host Party

A man, Nurudeen Raimi has landed in trouble after he went to a meat seller at the Abattoir market in Lagos to obtain from him cow meat which he used for a party event and refused to pay the owner.
He was arrested and charged before a Lagos court for obtaining and stealing and was remanded in prison custody.
The incident happened at the Abattoir market in Oko-Oba, Agege where the victim, Alhaji Danbaba Ibrahim sells meat.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Raimi approached Ibrahim and asked him to sell the meat which he intended to use for his party and they agreed for N67,000.
When Ibrahim supplied the beef, Raimi asked him to wait for him to go and bring the money.
That was the last time Ibrahim saw him as he took the meat and bolted away and never bothered to return to pay Ibrahim the money.
The matter was reported to the police at Abattoir Division who launched a hunt for Raimi until he was arrested last week.
Raimi was charged before Ogba Magistrates court with the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs M.I. Dan-Oni granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.
The matter was adjourned till 21 June 2017.
