A 37-year old man, Bukola Oluwaseun, has been stabbed to death in Lagos during a disagreement which led to public brawl with friend at a drinking Joint.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Dopemu area of Lagos where they had gone to drink a local gin.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bala Elkana. He said that on 7th April, 2019, at about 2.45pm the Dopemu Police Station received a distress call that some persons had engaged themselves in a fight at a drinking joint along Ogunbambi Street in Dopemu, Agege area of Lagos.
Hence a team of operatives from Dopemu Police Station was drafted to the scene to restore order. But it was too late as the victim had already been stabbed and bled profusely before he was rushed to the hospital where he eventual died.
DSP Elkana disclosed that preliminary investigation carried out revealed that one Bukola Oluwaseun, 37, of Adeyola Street Dopemu was stabbed on the neck with a bottle by one Sunday Isaiah, 42, of No. 20 Olufeso Street Dopemu.
The victim died on the way to the hospital and his corpse was deposited at the mortuary for post mortem examination.
The Police did not disclose what would have likely led to the fight but sources around the area said that the fight might have been induced by heavy intake of alcohol.
However, Elkana revealed that the suspect was arrested by the Police after the incident and investigation was ongoing. He said that the suspect will be charged to Court after the conclusion of investigation.
