Doctors at Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, Idiaraba are battling to save the life of a football lover, Mr. Omoboriowo Damilola who was  brutally stabbed on his neck while watching an English Premier League match at a popular viewing centre.

The victim was stabbed on his neck and he is now lying critically on the bed at the hospital and his survival remains uncertain.

Three of the suspects have been arrested. The suspects are Yusuf Moruf, 28, Adewole Olamilekan, 29 and Morongfolu Soliu, 26.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that trouble started during a football match between Manchester United and Everton football club when an argument ensured between the victim and the suspects.

It was learnt that the victim was attacked and one of the suspects broke a bottle and stabbed him on the neck. He bled profusely, fell down and became unconscious. He was rushed to Igando General hospital where he was rejected  and referred to LUTH because of the seriousness of the injury, where he was said to be undergoing surgeries to save his life.

The attacked was reported to the police at Idimu Division and the three suspects were charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court for the alleged offence.

They pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Kenneth Asibor informed the court that the condition of the victim was critical as such it was not certain what would happen to him. He therefore urged the court to give the suspects stringent bail conditions so that they will be able to come to court to face trial in the interest of justice.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. J.O.E Adeyemi-Ajayi granted the suspects bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
