Man Steals 14m Nitrogen Cart At Airport & Sells It At 450k To Buyer

A 50-year old man, Aliu Abiodun Jubril, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly stealing N14m Nitro Cart belonging to Air Peace at Muritala Mohammed International Airport and selling it to a buyer, Akeem Azeez, at a give away price of N450,000.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened on 4th March, 2026, at the airport.
According to the Police, the suspect, Jubril, who resides at Alhaji Olayinka Street, Ikola Ipaja Lagos, allegedly stole the property belonging to Air Peace and sold it out without the consent of the Air Peace management.
The matter was reported to the Police at the airport. The 1st suspect was arrested and detained for interrogation, he mentioned the buyer and both were arraigned before the Court.
The charges read:
COUNT 1: “That you, ALIU ABIODUN JUBRIL “m” of Alhaji Olayinka Street Ikola Ipaja Lagos, an Air Peace Staff, on the 4th March, 2026, at about 22:00hrs you stole a Nitrogen Cart from Muritala Muhammed International Airport valued Fourteen Million Naira (N14, 000,000.00k) a property of Air Peace and sold it out without the consent of the Air Peace management, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280(1)a) (b) and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos Nigeria, 2015.”
COUNT 2 :”That you, Akeem Azeez ‘M’ Alafia CDA, Ofada Mowe, Ogun State, a
technician, on 4th of March, 2026, at about 22:00 hrs, you received a stolen property belonging to Air Peace, a Nitrogen Cart valued N14,000,000.00K and you bought for N450 000.00K from Aliu Abiodun Jabril, knowing fully that the Nitrogen Cart belonged to Air Peace, and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 328 (1) and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State Nigeria, 2015.”
However, they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Adeitan Oluwabunmi, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since they pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that they actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, M.A. Agbaje, granted them bail with two sureties, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
The matter was adjourned for mention while the defendants were remanded in custody pending when they will perfect their bail conditions.
