The Police at Ikotun Division have arrested a 46-year old man, Dare Oladimeji, who reportedly sucked his 9-year old step daughter’s developing breasts and also deflowered her.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Ojo Street by Asalu Bus Stop in Abaranje area of Ikotun, Lagos, where they reside.

It was gathered that the mother of the victim gave birth to her before she got remarried to Oladimeji and brought her along to live with them.
According to the victim, in January, 2019, Oladimeji sucked her developing breasts and also inserted his fingers into her private part to open properly for easy penetration. From then, he was said to have started penetrating her but warned her not to tell her mother what he was doing to her.
However, the victim’s mother reportedly noticed that one of her breasts was bigger and summoned her to know what the problem was before she opened up. She revealed that it was Oladimeji that usually sucked it whenever the mother was not around and would later engage her in sex romp with serious warnings not to tell the mother.
When the mother asked her husband why he was doing so, he reportedly confessed and claimed that it was temptation that made him to do so.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun Division and the suspect, Oladimeji, was arrested. After interrogation, the police found him culpable and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates Court for defilement.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, asked the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for advice.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, ordered him to be remanded in prison custody without an option of bail.
The Court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
Oladimeji risks several years imprisonment if he is found culpable by the DPP and his trial is recommended for defilement; then the matter may be transferred to the High Court. The matter was adjourned till 13th June, 2019, when the DPP’s report is expected to be ready.
