Manager Docked For Allegedly Stealing Company’s N9m Worth Of Products

A 41-year old business development manager to Conglome Industry Limited, Sanjay Namdas, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly stealing company’s products worth over N9m. 

 

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened between February 2025 and 13th day of January, 2026, at IPCL Complex, Command Road, Ipaja, Lagos where the company is located and the suspect was employed as the company’s business development manager.

 

The matter got exposed after the company conducted an internal audit and discovered that the products were missing and the suspect was unable to explain how they got missing.

 

The matter was reported to the Police at Ipaja Division. The suspect was arrested and detained at the station for interrogation over the missing items.

 

After rounds of interrogation, the Police found him culpable and consequently charged him before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence which attracts several years of imprisonment.

 

The charges read:

 

COUNT I:”That you, SANJAY NAMDAS ‘M’, between February 2025 and 13th day of January, 2026, being a business development manager to Conglome Industry Limited at IPCL Complex Command Road, Ipaja, in the Lagos State Magisterial District, did unlawfully and dishonestly steal assorted hot drinks from the industry value N9,843,116.00 (Nine Million, Eight Hundred And Forty Three Thousands, One Hundred And Sixteen Naira Only) Property of Conglome Industry Limited and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 280 and punishable under Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

COUNT II:”That you, SANJAY NAMDAS ‘M’, between February 2025 and 13th day of January, 2026, at the same place in the aforementioned Magisterial District, did unlawfully and dishonestly convert the sum of N9,843,116.00 (Nine Million, Eight Hundred And Forty Three Thousands, One Hundred And Sixteen Naira Only) Property of Conglome Industry Limited to your own use and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 280 (b) and punishable under Section 287 (b) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.”

 

However, he pleaded not guilty.

 

The prosecutor, Inspector Simeon Njue, then asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.

 

The Presiding Magistrate, F.R Oguntayode, granted him bail in the sum of N3m with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.

 

The matter was adjourned till 6th February, 2026, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when he will perfect his bail conditions.
