Married Man Dies Inside Pool While Swimming With Lover

A married man identified as Francis Ikechukwu Okonkwo who reportedly went to swim with his mistress died inside the pool in a popular hotel in Abarange, Ikotun, Lagos, Nigeria.
He reportedly dived into the pool and smashed his head on the floor of the swimming pool which caused his death.
P.M.EXPRESS gathered from the hotel management that the late Okonkwo was their regular customer that comes to the hotel with some friends to swim and have some drinks.
On the day the incident happened, he had gone to swim which ended in tragedy.
It was gathered that when he dived into the pool, there was no motion after sometime and suddenly blood began to float upon the pool.
Those who were around raised the alarm when they saw the blood.
When a rescue team dived into the pool to rescue Okonkwo, he was already dead.
The customers who were in the hotel including his mistress panicked and abandoned the hotel and fled.
The matter was reported to the police at Ikotun division who went to the hotel and retrieved the corpse and took it to the station.
From the station it was taken to a mortuary.
The late Okonkwo hailed from Nnewi in Anambra state, southeast of Nigeria.
He came to Lagos some years back and established his businesses at Ladipo and Alaba markets before he died.
He was married and had four children.
Some of his friends who spoke to our correspondent expressed shock over what happened.
They described him as a hard working man who was able to achieve much within the period he started business in Lagos.
