The leadership of Methodist Church of Nigeria, (Atamunu Diocese, Calabar) is set to enthrone his lordship, Rt. Rev. Otuekong Ukut Ph.D, as the Bishop of Atamunu Diocese of Methodist Church of Nigeria.
The enthronement is to be done, by the Archbishop, Archdiocese of Calabar, his Grace, Most Rev.(Amb.) Chimezuo Nwankpa.
Rt. Rev. Otuekong Ukut disclosed this Monday in Calabar while unveiling programme of activities lined up for the inauguration of the Diocese of Atamunu, Calabar on Sunday.
Otuekong stated that “The three events are intertwined. It’s the reason we called it ‘Trinity Service’ which would showcase whatever stride we had achieved to reverend God Almighty.
“We are going to start with inauguration of the diocese, enthronement of myself as pioneer bishop of Atamunu Diocese, and presentation of the lay president Elder Dr. Gabriel Inyang to the congregation on same day on Sunday.”
Other activity to be carried out by Methodist Cathedral of Atamunu, includes commissioning of multi-million naira projects including the bishop’s office, Favour Shopping Centre Complex and branded signage, commissioning of school block at 97 Atamunu at the new site and laying of foundation stone for the bishop’s court still undergoing construction.
Also expected at the event includes Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Dr. Oliver Ali Aba JP including his entourage and secretary of Conference, Rt. Rev. Babatunde Taiwo, Rev. Inyang Effiong and entourage.
Others include immediate past Prelate of Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence Samuel Chukwu Emeka Kanu and wife.
