MIIA, Man O’ War Nigeria Partner On Virtual Media Training Programme

The Media Integrity Initiative Africa (MIIA) has announced the commencement of a structured virtual training collaboration with Man O’ War Nigeria under the programme title, Media Discipline & Strategic Communication for Uniformed Organisations – Pilot Cohort: Man O’ War Nigeria.

The initiative is designed to strengthen communication capacity, media responsibility and information discipline among Public Relations Officers and media personnel of the organisation across Nigeria.

The training will be conducted virtually via Zoom over two Saturdays in July 2026 and will feature four specialised sessions facilitated by seasoned media and communication professionals.

Programme Schedule:

Course 1 Saturday, 4 July 2026 | 2.00pm – 3.30pm Topic: Strategic Communication & Narrative Control Facilitator: Johnson Onime

Course 2 Saturday, 4 July 2026 | 4.00pm – 5.30pm Topic: Media Discipline, Ethics & Digital Conduct Facilitator: Dr. Tony Onyima, FNGE

Course 3 Saturday, 11 July 2026 | 2.00pm – 3.30pm Topic: Crisis Communication & Media Relations Facilitator: Alex Ogundadegbe

Course 4 Saturday, 11 July 2026 | 4.00pm – 5.30pm Topic: Internal Communication & Verbal De-escalation Facilitator: Dr. Monday Ashibogwu

Participants who attend a minimum of seventy-five per cent (three sessions) of the programme will be eligible to receive a Digital Certificate of Participation issued by the Media Integrity Initiative Africa (MIIA).
