The Ministry of Establishments and Training has officially launched the Ministry’s Training Manual and Establishment Handbook, marking a significant milestone in strengthening capacity development and administrative efficiency in the State Public Service.
While launching the two publications, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olubusola Abidakun, stated that the manuals were developed to serve as reference guides for all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
She noted that the Training Manual provides a framework for staff development and capacity building while the Establishment Handbook offers guidelines on rules and operational procedures applicable throughout the public service.
She emphasised that the manuals reflect the Ministry’s commitment to effective service delivery, adding that their adoption would create room for professionalism.
The Permanent Secretary commended the departments involved in the development of the publications and urged all MDAs to fully utilise the manuals as working tools in their day-to-day operations.
She expressed confidence that the launch of the Training Manual and Establishment Handbook would significantly contribute to a more efficient, disciplined, and responsive Public Service.
