More Than 54 Groups Join Dr Folashade Tinubu-Ojo To Endorse Chief Barry Balera Mwara For Rivers South East Senatorial Seat

More than 54 political, youth, student, and civil society groups have joined the Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Dr Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, to throw their weight behind the aspiration of Chief Barry Balera Mwara following his successful purchase of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms to contest for the Rivers South East Senatorial District seat.
The endorsement meeting, which was held on 6th May, 2026, in Bori, attracted several prominent organizations and stakeholders across the senatorial district.
Among the groups that endorsed Chief Mwara were the Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shettima and Fubara in Rivers State, the Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shettima and Fubara in Rivers South East Senatorial District, Rivers South East Students Forum, Rivers South East Youth Forum, Ogoni Youth Movement, and the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria, alongside many others.
Speaking during the gathering, the National President of the Southern Youth Foundation of Nigeria and State Coordinator of the Civil Society Campaign Council for Tinubu-Shettima and Fubara in Rivers State, Amb. Emeni Ibe, described Chief Mwara as a youthful, dynamic, and well-qualified personality with the competence and capacity needed to effectively represent the people of Rivers South East at the National Assembly.
According to him, Chief Mwara is a goal-getter with a proven track record of leadership, dedication, and service to humanity, adding that his aspiration represents renewed hope for purposeful representation and people-oriented legislation in the district.
Amb. Ibe further expressed strong confidence in Chief Mwara’s chances at the APC primary election, stating that his grassroots appeal and leadership qualities make him a formidable contender in the race.
He also assured the APC aspirant of unwavering support from the Southern Youth Foundation and allied groups, pledging to mobilize necessary structures and provide all needed assistance to ensure victory at the primaries and the general election.
The youth leader called on party stakeholders, youths, women, and the people of Rivers South East Senatorial District to unite behind Chief Barry Balera Mwara, stressing that his emergence would usher in inclusive governance, quality representation, and sustainable development across the district.
