Men of the Ogun State Police Command on Wednesday 15th August, 2018, arrested a 28-year old, Kelvin Michael, over the death of a 40-year old woman, Monsurat Idowu, after they had marathon sex.
The arrest of the suspect was as a result of complaint by one Benjamin Okereke of the State Hospital, Ota, who reported that the suspect brought Monsurat to the hospital dead and since he cannot explain the circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased, he decided to notify the Police.
Upon getting the report, the DPO Onipanu Division, SP Sangobiyi Johnson, led his men to the hospital where the suspect, Kelvin, was promptly arrested.
During interrogation, the suspect claimed to have met the deceased last month inside a bus at Ketu, Lagos, where they exchanged phone numbers, consequent upon which he invited her to his friend’s house at Ota where Monsurat suddenly slumped and died shortly after they had engaged in a sex romp.
The husband of the deceased, one Idowu Lamidi, a commercial driver who was quickly contacted told the Police that he left his wife at home hale and hearty while going to work. He wondered what might have led to her untimely death.
