Mrs. Lolade Aina Decorated As Special Traffic Mayor

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Waterfront Infrastucture Development, Mrs. Lolade Aina was decorated today as a Special Traffic Mayor by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

The event, which took place in her office, was conducted by the Team Lead of the Traffic Advocacy and Special Mayor Department , LASTMA, Mr. Jimmy Awoyemi, with other Lastma officials and Directors in the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development in attendance. Mr Awoyemi took time to explain what is expected of the the new traffic Mayor.

The Permanent Secretary speaking after her decoration appreciated the good work Lastma is doing, Praised the Ministry of Transportation and its leadership for this very thoughtful initiative, Promised to carry out her duties as a Special Traffic Mayor to the best of her ability and join hands with traffic officials to improve the traffic situation in Lagos State.

 

She explained that the initiative is a great one which will help reduce traffic infractions on the road and ensure traffic flow without encumberances especially with the help of the Mayors.

This new initiative will also help in ensuring smooth & efficient flow of traffic within Lagos metropolis.
