MTN Nigeria’s Go Make A Difference (Go MAD) campaign continued its inspiring journey, this time lighting up Ibadan on Saturday, March 8.

Held at Cloud 7 Lounge, this event was a call to action for local changemakers, blending culture and technology in an unforgettable experience.

From immersive virtual experiences to dance, music, games, and powerful personal stories, it was a celebration of impact and possibility.

Here’s all that went down.

A Cultural Homecoming

MTN’s Go MAD activations have embraced Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage, and Ibadan was no exception.

Guests were welcomed by Yoruba royals in regal attire, from the queen’s elegant Òlékù and coral beads to the king’s well-patterned bùbá and sokótó, beaded crown, and majestic staff.

The event also featured a parade of Yoruba warriors, a captivating cultural dance performance, and the rhythmic pulse of traditional talking drums—a true homage to the city’s rich history

Data Love Story

Local influencer couple Endurance and Anna Peters, known as ‘Mr. and Mrs. Peters’, stole the show with their comical yet heartwarming tale of love and connection, made possible by data.

Endurance shared how loneliness led him to Facebook, where he met his future wife.

“I sent her a request. She took a while before she finally replied. She kept asking for data. I decided that I was going to make a difference by marrying this girl. Let me benefit from this data.”

Breaking Barriers: Go MAD Icon, Kanyeyachukwu

The event also showcased the powerful story of 15-year-old autistic painter, Kanyeyachukwu, a true embodiment of the MTN Go MAD message.

In an exclusive interview with MTN Nigeria, Kanye shared his mission to break barriers and set a Guinness World Record for the largest canvas painting.

With his artwork already exhibited at UNICEF HQ, the World Bank, and other prestigious venues, Kanye’s story moved guests, challenging them not just to hear the Go MAD message, but to live it.

Kanye is set to continue his journey at Eagle Square in Abuja in April.

Exciting Games and Rewarding Prizes

The MTN Go MAD experience wasn’t just inspiring—it was fun and interactive.

Guests competed in trivia challenges on Kahoot, tested their skills with Jenga and puzzles, and enjoyed high-energy physical games.

Winners walked away with prizes ranging from MTN merch to digital devices like routers and modems.

Through the Go MAD campaign, MTN is proving that every action, no matter how small, can spark change.
