Multiple Grammy Winner, Karen Clark Sheard Storms Lagos for Enkay Live in Concert

Popular Gospel artiste Enkay Ogboruche, known as Enkay is set to redefine gospel music with her first-ever concert tagged ‘Enkay Live In Concert’, slated for July 1 at Eko Convention Center, Victoria island, Lagos.

Joining her on stage will be America’s multiple Grammy Award winning artiste Dr Karen Clark Sheard and another Grammy nominated singer Kierra Sheard.

Other notable gospel artistes will also be gracing the stage for the concert.

In her words, Enkay said: “The concert is unique in every sense to me because it’s going to be my first great outing and we are bringing down the glory of God with my music.”

Enkay is a Nigerian-born singer, songwriter, music minister and dynamic worshiper with a mandate for prophetic worship aimed at realising the sound of heaven and God’s presence to liberate and deliver.

Not only does she make good music, her lyrics are rich in God’s word and deeply revealing.

Signed to Tehila Records, a Lagos-based Gospel Record label, since 2010, Enkay has over 10 years experience as a music minister, and has mentored many upcoming gospel artistes.

Her vocal dexterity and unbelievable range puts her in a class of her own.

She was one of the very few gospel musicians chosen to serve as a judge at the prestigious Gospel music competition for upcoming gospel artistes: The Spotlight. Her album, Kingdom Anthem, has been a tool of worship in many churches across the continent.

Her song Yes, You Are The Lord! is a common feature in the African praise/worship sphere.

Enkay hails from Abia State but was born in Kaduna State in the early 1980s. She has a BSc in Public Administration having graduated with a Second Class Upper in 2004 and a diploma from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Armed with a message that cuts across gender, people of all ages and cultures, she is one of the promising artistes to emerge from Nigeria and Africa.

She has over 10 years of music and ministry experience under her belt having passed through many choirs and more recently the multiple award winning group, Tehila Crew where she serves as the lead female Vocalist.

Tehila Crew has won multiple awards over the years such as Best Group at various awards including Crystal Awards, AGMA, NGMA etc.

She has individually been nominated for international awards such as Redeemed International Gospel Awards RIGA 2016 (South Africa) and The Africa Gospel Music Awards TAGMA 2016 (South Africa).

Her music and videos are widely enjoying airplay across continents.

Her sophomore album which is to be released this year (2018) contains recently released singles, You Saved Me, Ézem, and Merciful God featuring South African artiste Mabongi.  All these songs are currently rocking the airwaves.

She is happily married to Timothy Ogboruche and they are blessed with three sons.
