My Role As Kidnapper Is To K*ll Victims If Ransom Negotiations Fail – Suspect Confesses

A 22-year old suspected kidnapper, Musa Umar, has confessed that he belonged to a kidnap syndicate and his major role was to kill victims if the negotiations for ransom failed.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the suspect, Umar, was among the criminal suspects arrested and paraded by the Nigeria Police,  Abuja Command.

He said that so far he had killed five victims inside the bush where he is also a farmer as a member of a kidnap syndicate and has publicly confessed his role within the criminal group.

This was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Abuja, DCP Frank Mba, who was also present at the parade of the suspects and Musa Umar, who spoke in Hausa, confessed to have joined the criminal group three years ago in Kaduna State and was employed to kill abducted victims.

On how many victims he has killed since he joined the gang, Musa said: “I am a farmer and also a kidnapper. I was engaged to kill victims by my gang members and so far, I have killed five persons. They comprised three men and two women and they were all from Katsina State”.

The Commissioner of Police in FCT, Bala Ciroma, was also present at the parade where the suspects made the confessional statements including Umar.
The Police boss said four locally made pistols, one dane gun, one revolver, 26 phones and 22 sim cards have been recovered from 24 suspects arrested ahead of Sallah celebration.

He said that the suspects will be charged before the Court after the conclusion of the investigation. The alleged offence attracts several years of imprisonment or life Imprisonment if they are tried and found guilty.
