Police operatives from the Kaduna State Command have arrested a motorcycle thief, Sani Nafiu, after his father boldly informed the Police that he is a thief and he saw him with a stolen motorcycle.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the Police moved into action, arrested Nafiu and recovered the motorcycle, which he allegedly stole all the way from Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja and brought to Kaduna State.
This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Supol Mansir Hassan, who confirmed the arrest and stated that the suspect was in Police custody undergoing interrogation over his alleged conduct.
Hassan said, “On March 29, we received information from the father of the suspect that he saw his son, Sani Nafiu, with a motorcycle suspected to have been stolen, that the motorcycle was stolen from Abuja”.
He explained that on receipt of the information, Police operatives arrested the suspect at Tijjani Kaya quarters in Giwa Local Government Area of the State.
He disclosed that the investigation revealed that the suspect stabbed the victim, Mr. Shamsu Jamilu of Danja, aged 28, at Kuje Area Council of Federal Capital Territory.
“The suspect collected the motorcycle from the victim leaving him lying unconscious.”
“The suspect, Nafiu, has been arrested and the motorcycle recovered,” he said.
Hassan said an investigation is ongoing and after completion, he would be charged to court for prosecution.
