You recall that comical, once virtuous, axiom about ndi Igbo multiplying whatever their hand touches?

Yes, the economics of terrorism is the new craft. Once there is Naira and Kobo the Igbo would indulge. Better still, where there is Pounds and Dollars the Igbo man must find a perfect reason to indulge.

Boko Haram still festers because of the economics of terror. From the Soldier, to the Arms dealer to the Terrorist, there is a huge chunk of profit across the terrorism value chain. Back in the East, Diaspora remittances is one of the surest income inflow into the region.

Sadly, Diasporans are the major financiers and promoters of the carnage down here. There is a profit matrix that must be understudied to truly ascertain the growing fatalistic tendencies of young Igbo youths.

This terror may last a little longer than anticipated unless the profit scheme ceases to exist.
