The list of authentic members of the Council of Ndieze of the Igbo Speaking Community in Lagos State has finally been released to the Police as those crowned Ezeudo by Eze Hyacinth Ohazuruike are now Chiefs and not Ezendigbo in the State.
P.M.EXPRESS reports that this came to fore following the courtesy visit to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade at the Command’s headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos.
The names of the Ndieze submitted to the Police boss by the Council Ndieze led by amiable Eze Chika Nwokedi during the visit was for the Police to know their members and build synergy between the Nigeria Police Force and Ndieze on security across the LCDA’s.
The names included on the list were directed to the Commissioner of Police dated 14th June, 2024 and signed by the Chairman and General Secretary of Council of Ndieze Lagos State, Eze Dr Chika Nwokedi and Eze Dr Ferdinand Aguneke, respectively with the title
“INTRODUCTION OF THE PRINCIPALS AND MEMBERS OF THE COUNCILOF NDIEZE IGBO, LAGOS STATE.”
The above subject matter refers.

Meanwhile, those crowned Ezeudo by Eze Hyacinth Ohazuruike and have been parading themselves as Ezendigbo in various LCDA in the State have lost out as they have been told by the association of Ndieze in diaspora that they are not Ezendigbo but Chiefs because Eze cannot crown Eze against the custom and tradition of Ndigbo on Ezeship.
It appears that the Council of Ndieze in Lagos State may have began the reformation of Ezeship in the State with the decisive decisions being taken by the leadership led by Eze Nwokedi and his executives.
The names are expected to be sent to the Governor of Lagos State for recognition according to some of the members of the Council of Ndieze in the State.
